FAQs

What is Axe Throwing?

Axe throwing is about having fun and kicking ass with your mates or fellow members in the community. Similar to darts, but with an axe, you throw at a wooden target in a primal contest of skill that has been around for hundreds of years! Did you know that Abe Lincoln was 8 years old the first time he threw an axe on his family farm?

What is the pricing for a lane?

This depends on the size of your group. The bigger the group the more time we allow, but the price stays the same! Please click on the booking link for more info, but due to COVID-19 we are only booking at 50% right now.

What does Drengr mean?

Drengr, in old Norse, means BADASS! A Drengr is courageous or daring, in the sense of a warrior. Come throw with us soon. and our expert coaches will have you throwing like a badass before you leave.

How do I pay?

We take bookings through our website and collect a 50% deposit at the time of booking. At check-in we collect the remaining balance and give any discounts to first responders, nurses, teachers and veterans. For purchases made in store, we offer cash, card, and contactless payment options.

What’s included?

Axes, coach and a good time! Coaches will be there as much or as little as you need them. Once everyone can get their axe to stick to the target, there are games and other things you can play that the coaches will introduce you to. Think darts but way more fun!!

What discounts do you offer and how are they handled?

We offer a 10% discount (with valid ID) to:

● First Responders. ● Nurses

●Teachers ●Military

It is the responsibility of the guest to indicate their eligibility upon booking. Your Valid ID Is required for Check In.

What if we’re having a blast and want to stay longer?

If we have spaces open, you are welcome to extend your time for an additional hour for $15 per person.

Do you require a liability waiver?

Both throwers and spectators are required to sign a waiver. Anyone under 18 must sign a waiver for their kiddo. Participants with medical conditions and/or pregnant should obtain a letter from their doc allowing them to participate.

What is the cancellation policy?

Life gets in the way especially with our new-normal and we understand. Our coaches are scheduled based on our bookings so we ask that you let us know if you can’t make it.

We collect a 50% deposit on all bookings. Bookings cancelled more than 48 hours will be given a full refund. If less than 48 hours before axe time, then we issue a store credit for the deposit amount good for one year.

You must call us to cancel. No shows will not receive a refund on their deposit.

Are spectators allowed to watch for free?

Yes, but why would you want to “just watch”? Spectators are allowed and only those throwing will be charged. Spectators must sign a waiver, however.

Our hours are listed below, but we can and will open for corporate events and other large groups at any time outside of our regular opening hours.

What if I can’t get it to stick or hit the target?

Our coaches are fabulous and we WILL get you to stick it. We have a training lane, so if someone is struggling we can take a few minutes one-on-one to give you the pointers needed.

Do you require a reservation?

Walk-ins welcome. Bookings recommended for groups of two or more

Is Axe-throwing safe?

YES!! No activity or sport is completely safe, but follow the safety rules and listen to the instruction from our coaches, who seek to make sure all of our guests are safe and enjoy their Drengr experience.

Can we take pictures or videos while we are there?

Absolutely...and please share with friends, family and us!

Can I bring my own axe?

Yes. But ALL axes must be inspected and approved by your coach.

WHO SUCKS LESS?

We’re not sure where this came from but it’s a funny, light hearted thing in the axe world. When a match goes to a tie breaker, when throwers have to hit the Kill Shot, the audience will chant or hold up banners that say WHO SUCKS LESS. On ESPN for the 2019 World Championship in AZ, you can see it!

Is there an age limit?

We serve ages 9 to 99. If you can hold and throw the axe, we want to create a fun experience for you! However, our guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes. For more information, please click here.

Do you offer Leagues?

Yes. We are a World Axe Throwing League Affiliate. There are four league seasons per year. League members have the chance to earn spots in the US Open and World Championship aired on ESPN. For more information, please click here.

Do you play music in the venue?

Of course! We play an assortment of music that is pleasing to most of our guests. If it’s quiet you can pick what’s playing.

Why should I join a league?

The awesome thing about axe throwing and the leagues is that if you’re good or suck, new or experienced, young or old, fat or thin, kilt wearing or not, this will feel like home! Think of it as happy hour with axes where you can meet new people or compete against old friends every week!
